Samus quickly returned to her Starship and pursued Ridley to the nearby planet Zebes. At the same time, a Countdown began, leaving Samus a mere 60 seconds to escape before the station's destruction. Samus desperately fought Ridley, but he overpowered her and fled the station carrying the hatchling. Continuing her investigation, Samus soon encountered Ridley once again, finding him clutching the baby's capsule. As Samus explored the space colony, she discovered the bodies of the scientists lying about the room that had held the Metroid capsule in a tube. However, shortly after leaving, Samus picked up a distress call from Ceres and quickly returned to investigate.
Leaving the baby in their care, Samus left Ceres in search of a new bounty to hunt. The scientists' findings showed that the powers of Metroids could be harnessed for the benefit of mankind. But, I had hardly gone beyond the asteroid belt when I picked up a distress signal!Īfter exterminating the Metroids on SR388 during the SR-388 incident, Samus Aran brought the infant Metroid to the Ceres Space Colony, likely staying at the colony while scientists studied the young Metroid. Satisfied that all was well, I left the station to seek a new bounty to hunt. The scientists' findings were astounding! They discovered that the powers of the Metroid might be harnessed for the good of civilization! I personally delivered it to the Galactic Research Station at Ceres so the scientists could study its energy producing qualities. I completely eradicated them except for a larva, which after hatching followed me like a confused child. I next fought the Metroids on their homeworld, SR388. It was there that I foiled the plans of the Space Pirate leader Mother Brain to use the creatures to attack Galactic Civilization. I first battled the Metroids on planet Zebes. Perhaps even an eventual possibility of combining Link to the Past with Super Metroid to make a PC port of the Combo Randomizer? Check out the github page if you are interested in the links below. Then a great deal of enhancements and playability options could be in store in future updates and/or project forks. However if precedence from previous works are anything to heed from, i.e. The game is playable albeit limited in controls, and will take further development to see its true potential. Though please keep in mind that this project is still in the early stages of development. Those OS supported options include Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
#SUPER METROID DOWNLOAD CODE#
This is done by essentially taking the Assembly code used when programing the game for the Super Famicom/Super Nintendo, and compiling or translating the code if you will into a C based language suitable for modern computer operating systems (OS). Super Metroid is now in the same position being available to play via extracting its game assets in conjunction with the github materials and subsequent compilation. Like Zelda Densetsu Kamigami no Triforce (The Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past) released a few months prior.
